Temple Lofts – Finalist for the ULI Americas Awards for Excellence
The Urban Land Institute (ULI) announced Michigan Community Capital’s Temple Lofts as one of 18 finalists for the 2024 ULI Americas Awards for Excellence, one of the most prestigious awards programs in the real estate industry. Temple is the transformation of Lansing, Michigan’s iconic First Methodist Church, built in 1917. Through adaptive reuse, the project reimagined a two-story building that has been vacant for over a decade into a 5-story, 37,000-square-foot mixed-use property.
The ULI Americas Awards for Excellence is a prestigious recognition program celebrating outstanding real estate development projects in the Americas region. The awards highlight projects demonstrating exemplary design, innovation, sustainability, and overall community contributions. Winners are selected based on their ability to address various urban challenges while creating vibrant, sustainable, and economically viable spaces. The ULI Americas Awards for Excellence showcase best practices in land use and development and serve as inspiration for future projects.
