A 100-foot long, 20-foot high white concrete wall separates the real world from this Lake Michigan vacation home’s sanctuary. Using both modernist gestures and influences from the nearby Victorian port city of Manistee, the house’s design provides a transition from reality to the shelter and haven of weekend life, where demands of time and career shift.
