Keystone Community Church
The first LEED NC Certified church in the nation, this contemporary, non-denominational church sits lightly on the land while providing a strong connection to nature. Early in the design process, the membership decided to pursue a U. S. Green Building Council LEED rating as it illustrates their respect for the land and their commitment to being good Stewards of God’s universe. The worship, education and offices spaces are artfully arranged around the central narthex, a space designed to be active and exciting, providing ample opportunities for fellowship. The result is an efficient, flexible space that maximizes recycled materials and is filled with fresh air and natural light. Since the initial building construction over 13 years ago, Keystone’s congregational growth necessitated additional worship, youth and fellowship space. Completed in 2018, additional youth space, a new Chapel and doubling the existing Worship space was accomplished thoughtfully without disrupting Keystone’s congregational needs.
Client Endorsement:
“Integrated’s team exceeded my expectations in planning and design. The team took great care to listen to our needs and apply them to paper, review them, adjust, and review again. In taking time to understand the “why” of what we were asking, better results were proposed.”
