The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of the City of Mt. Pleasant and the Michigan Community Capital (MCC) redeveloped the vacant parcel of property at 410 W. Broadway. Situated on 1.4-acres in historic downtown Mt. Pleasant, this site has frontage on the Chippewa River and Broadway Street. Broadway Lofts is a four-story 51,010 square foot mixed-use building with 10,350 square feet of commercial space and 48 multiple-family dwelling units, and a 64 space parking lot. In addition, there are 60 bicycle parking spaces, 24 outdoor, and 36 covered indoor spaces. The first floor holds a 1,100 square foot community room, mailroom, mechanical room, lobby, and a 10,350 square foot co-op grocery space. Also included is an outdoor dining area at the southeast corner of the building, near the commercial / co-op grocery entrance off Broadway Street. The building’s materials include brick, metal coping, cast stone, pre-finished smooth metal panel, and glass guardrails.
