On October 24, the IA team hosted a class of Ferris State University students from the University's Construction Management Program. Ferris selected the City of Holland Waverly Road Fire Station project to be a focus of their fall semester Construction Management Program coursework. FSU's Program Coordinator and her team developed the program to use the fire station project and its drawings as a reference point for students to simulate working on a project from the seat of a Construction Manager (CM).

IA's Waverly Fire Station project's Principal in Charge, Darrel DeHaan, spoke with the students about the project design process from an architectural perspective. Then, the group toured the job site with the GDK Construction team.​
