Summer 2023 Interns
Five interns join Integrated Architecture this summer!
Aren Homrich has joined us as an Architectural Intern. He is a Forest Hills Northern High School graduate and will enter his senior year at Lawrence Technological University this fall. He is pursuing both Architecture and Interior Design and enjoys learning to think critically about designing spaces that maximize the user experience. In his studies, he focuses on how architecture helps shape the way the world looks, functions, and improves lives through thoughtfully designed spaces. Aren is a recipient of the 2022 Chair of Design Department Award from LTU’s College of Architecture and Design. He is excited to continue his learning experience through the variety and scale of IA’s projects, as well as the strong sense of community at the office.
Faith TenEyck has joined us as an Architectural Intern. A graduate of Rockford High School, she will be a senior this fall at Lawrence Technological University, where she is studying Architecture. She is excited to further use the skills and ideas she has learned in the classroom, and to gain experience in the diverse project range which IA has to offer.
Kyle Sutton re-joins the team for the summer as an Architectural Intern. He will be entering his final year of the Master of Architecture program at Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University. Before switching his focus to architecture, he worked for several years as a civil engineer consulting with various Michigan municipalities on a variety of projects. Outside of architecture, he enjoys traveling, climbing, golf, gardening, and fitness. He is excited to work on a variety of projects and further his professional experience on the path to licensure. Kyle is interested in the intersection of nature and mankind, and how that interaction communicates at different scales.
Marisa Helsten has joined us as a Practice Management Intern. Originally a graduate of Caledonia High School, she will be a junior at The University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky as of this fall. Here she majors in Strategic Communications with a minor in Art, and also plays for the women’s lacrosse team. She is grateful to have the opportunity to experience the digital and general brand strategies taking place within a firm that values their relationships with their community.
Natalie Koster re-joins the team for the summer as an Architectural Intern. A graduate of East Grand Rapids High School, she will be a junior this fall at the University of Michigan and is studying Architecture, as well as Art and Design. She is once more thrilled to have the opportunity to gain insight and experience in architecture outside of the classroom from a company with a diverse background and project range.
